I am Alanna. I am a communications professional by trade specializing in public relations and social media use. That's what I like to do to put money in my bank account. I have been a T1 Diabetic since 1990 and still going strong. I currently use an Animas Ping pump but have experience with MiniMed as well. I used to do MDI shots but then that stopped working for me, personally.

My blog is called Life on T1 because I find we are always talking about being low or high and the effects that diabetes can have on ones brain can be like doing drugs, hence "on T1". I intend to write about my day-to-day life with diabetes with a sprinkling of product review.

  1. Hi there, I'm Lindsey! I have a question regarding your blog. Could you please email me when you have a moment? Thank you so much, looking forward to hearing from you!

  2. Hi. I'm trying to get more connected to other t1 and become more of an advocate.

Noticed you're on a Ping. I really need to swap pumps as the tSlim NOT happy with Apidra and I seemed to have developed an allergy to Humalog and Novalog (next step is Humulin).

T1 for 54.5 years (diagnosed age two), 35 years pumping, 18 years cgms.

Would like to know about the Diabetes Advocates and other things you think are good for helping.

Please email me back - would like to send you some things I've worked re: diabetes education for your opinion. thank you
